Blog Post 9

      This semester's class was in person (w/ flex for circumstances). I liked this about the class. As we are growing into adults, things come up and situations call for quick changes of plans. The only thing I would work on in my own classroom would be student  engagement, which is much easier said than done.      In searching for open educational resources (OER), I stumbled upon this website . It is a collection of OER links for music educators. It includes textbooks, other libraries, scores/sheet music and even course videos. For beginner music educators, this would be a very key resource to have.     We did a project that required us to use PowerPoint to create a slide show and inform our audience on a topic. Blog Post 8

     In our latest big assignment, we were tasked with creating our own teacher webpage . Though this isn't my first time creating a page, this definitely helped jog my memory. Previous to this assignment, I had never created a page via weebly before. It was pretty easy to use and very user friendly. Even though I wasn't able to do everything I would have liked to,  I think I would use the site again if I had to create another one.      If I was pursing the idea of being a teacher, I would use Diigo within my department. If you have multiple teachers planning for the same, continuous or similar class subjects, Diigo allows everyone to share sites, annotations, and questions through one closed forum.
