In our latest big assignment, we were tasked with creating our own teacher webpage. Though this isn't my first time creating a page, this definitely helped jog my memory. Previous to this assignment, I had never created a page via weebly before. It was pretty easy to use and very user friendly. Even though I wasn't able to do everything I would have liked to,  I think I would use the site again if I had to create another one.

If I was pursing the idea of being a teacher, I would use Diigo within my department. If you have multiple teachers planning for the same, continuous or similar class subjects, Diigo allows everyone to share sites, annotations, and questions through one closed forum. Once learned, it is very useful for the workplace.

Lastly, we discussed the relationship between teacher professional development and technology. The two combine to create connections between student and teacher. Teachers who are "outdated" typically see less connection with their students then those who are up-to-date with the norms and trends we see. This also entails how well teachers use newer tech to keep up engagement and retention within the classroom.

This website posts articles one technology and teaching trends as well as more information to create higher quality teachers.
